Description
- Shipments/Deliveries
- Assists in scheduling shipments and deliveries
- Arrange product pickups and deliveries with transportation companies and route drivers accordingly
- Schedule KR’s with company driver
- Schedule incoming vendor shipments
- Schedule intercompany shipments
- Validating shipment, receipt, and invoices for all product received and shipped
- Approving/disputing carrier invoices
- Maintains the company’s shipping info on the Delivery Board SharePoint list
- Assists in filing claims with freight forwarders
- Maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers including the Management, carriers, supply chain, and vendors
- Communicate with trucking companies, warehouse supervisors, sales forces and customers and ensure that all parties are working together to guarantee that shipments are packed, sent, and delivered in a timely manner
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Negotiations with Vendors
- Monitoring order fulfillment issues: working with other divisions and outside contacts to provide customers with timely order status updates
- Monitoring reports aimed at tracking inventory and order outflow
- Following up on order and shipping errors to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Monitoring key department metrics, including profitability, to identify opportunities for team improvement
- Receive, store and distribute materials and equipment efficiently
- Ensure accurate receipt and shipment quantities of goods
- Transact receiving and shipping processes in ERP computer system
- Perform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Keep warehouse immaculate and extremely well organized
- Perform miscellaneous facilities-related tasks as needed
- Deal with incoming returns – let Procurement and Logistics know when they arrive
- Notify Procurement and Logistics when there is any incoming product
