YOUR ROLE AS A VUI'S KITCHEN SHIFT LEADER:
- Serving guests, making meaningful connections with them
- Opening & closing tasks
- Being responsible for the restaurant and the team working when a manager isn’t on duty.
- Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their duties
- Mastering menu and product knowledge
- Supporting or working stations when needed (kitchen included)
- Prepping food and doing side work
- Following proper cash handling and payment procedures
- Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift
- Proper food handling and storage of food products
- Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform and appearance
THE IDEAL TEAM MEMBER:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Prior food service experience preferred.
- Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests / team members
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to the policies and procedures.
- Energetic, ready to learn, loves fresh food.
- Work flexible schedule.
- Dependable, reliable and trustworthy
ALL EMPLOYEES MUST:
- Understand and abide by all company standards and policies (provided in your handbook)
- Obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment.
YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS/HOURS:
A typical workday at Vui's Kitchen may look like:
- Morning shift - 8am - 4pm
- Evenings - 4pm - 9:30pm
- Weekends- when applicable
- Holidays - when applicable (CLOSED Thanksgiving & Christmas)
- Hours will vary by store.
You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a char grill, oven, slicer, mixer and food processor.
YOUR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
