The Vice President, Business Intelligence is a highly visible role that drives strategic planning and market research efforts for CIT Rail. This role involves developing and analyzing various pieces of information/data to create actionable Business Intelligence. The role interacts daily with CIT Rail's President and the Commercial/Operational leaders of the business.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop investment business cases and support commercial and strategic decision-making through market research.
- Monitor and provide detailed analysis of economic trends, markets, and competitors and communicate impact to the Rail business.
- Development and update monthly/quarterly/yearly market and business updates for all stakeholders (Investor Relations, Risk, Executive Management Committee, Board of Directors, regulators, etc.).
- Update, analyze and distribute weekly/monthly trend reports that are used to communicate business and industry trends to senior management.
- Enhance and develop new methods to communicate Business Intelligence to various stakeholders across FCB/CIT.
- Utilize various industry sources to prospect and research new customers.
- Analyze and report out on aspects of CIT commercial activity.
- Collaborate with Commercial team to develop market views.
- Develop marketing and decision support tools to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
- Explore new, credible sources of marketing information and develop new analytical approaches to our business strategies.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in market analysis, Business Intelligence and analytics -OR-
HS Diploma/GED and minimum of 10 years of experience in market analysis, Business Intelligence and analytics.
- Experience in Rail industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education or experience in economics, finance and/or business analytics
- Project management skills
