Department Overview
The Technology Solutions Department is responsible for designing and delivering state of the art technology solutions that are designed to create efficiency, mitigate risk and grow revenue for the Firm. Technology Solutions is also responsible for defining, managing and executing a robust Cyber Security program following the NIST Cyber Security Framework. Technology Solutions focuses on technical excellence through innovative application designs, robust data integration and analytics, high availability infrastructure and gold level service for our key stakeholders with information security embedded throughout. Critical functions within Technology Solutions include Project Management, Vendor Management, Business Analysis, Enterprise Data Governance and Stewardship, Application Development and 3rd Party Integration, Strategic and Secure Infrastructure and Operations. The Technology Solutions Department collaborates closely with Firm leadership and business unit heads to develop plans in line with business objectives.
Position Responsibilities
The Technology Solutions Department is actively looking for a candidate deeply passionate about Identity and Access Management (IAM) to join our team. This pivotal role involves spearheading our IAM Team, overseeing the expansion and administration of our SailPoint Identity Now and CyberArk implementations, executing our IAM roadmap, governing the program, establishing IAM policies and processes, ensuring rigorous regulatory compliance, conducting thorough access analysis and steering continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Developing and executing the organization's identity and Access Management strategy to ensure appropriate access controls, security policies and compliance
  • Defining and developing robust authentication strategies, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory standards
  • Leading the implementation and administration of identity governance and privileged Access Management solutions
  • Establishing IAM policies, standards, processes and documentation that align with security and regulatory compliance objectives
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze access needs, assess risks and implement tailored solutions aligned with an overarching entitlement / role-based strategy to ensure seamless integration with business application frameworks
  • Managing IAM operations including account and entitlement provisioning / deprovisioning, access reviews and certifications, governance processes and day-to-day support
  • Leading projects and initiatives to enhance IAM capabilities, migrate applications into the IAM architecture, integrate with HR systems, implement new technologies (e.g., AI derived roles) and remediate audit findings
  • Performing access analysis to rationalize accounts and entitlements. Identifying and remediating violations from access reviews and audits.
  • Developing and maintaining roadmaps, budgets and resources plans for the IAM program. Tracking effectiveness metrics and reporting on overall program health.
  • Staying current with regulations, standards, and emerging IAM practices. Continually improving the program to raise maturity.
  • Providing leadership and vision while leading Golub Capital's internal IAM Team

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education required; master's degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive team leadership experience in the identity and Access Management discipline
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and expertise in IAM practices, policies and technologies
  • Expertise in implementing and managing privileged access solutions, with knowledge of PAM tools, session management and least privilege principles
  • Hands-on experience with current IAM solutions including identity provisioning, authentication, authorization and federation. SailPoint Identity Now and CyberArk experience is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial services sector (e.g., SOX)
  • Proven experience ensuring IAM systems align with and adhere to industry regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or a related field is required
  • Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) Certification, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate and / or SailPoint Certified: Identity Now Professional preferred

  • Vendor Management: Manages and coordinates with external vendors. Researches and identifies new vendors as needed and monitors performance.
  • Relationship Management: Builds and maintains effective partnerships with internal clients and end users by advising on their needs and options, advocating for their business within the Technology Solutions department and managing expectations appropriately.
  • Project / Program Management: Manages Technology Solutions project elements considering conflicting priorities, interdependencies, business objectives, communications and available resources.
