Job Description
The Vice President, Sales is responsible for sales and customer relationship strategy for Rembrandt Foods and Artisan Kitchens, including business development of new products for both businesses. This position requires critical leadership and execution over the budgeting and forecasting process, in addition to participation and leadership related to the company’s strategic planning process. In collaboration with the margin management team, this position is responsible for optimizing the company’s long-term demand portfolio, execution of strategic pricing, and ensuring the alignment of the egg desk, as well as special projects as identified and requested from time to time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of Sales strategy
- Refine simple, trackable metrics
- Continue to develop tools and training to enable our team with the proper tools to win in the marketplaces we target.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy:
- Define target markets and customer segments for the new product
- Establish pricing models and sales collateral
- Develop and execute effective sales and marketing campaigns
- Oversee the sales pipeline and manage key customer relationships
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets for new product lines
- Business Development
- Originate and manage business development opportunities that are consistent with the company’s strategy for revenue growth for entrance into new categories
- Develop and oversee marketing and research and development, to support new products, as well as the existing business
- Build and manage high-performing sales team:
- Recruit, hire, and onboard talented sales representatives.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to the sales team.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture. Commercial leadership in process of short and long-term planning of demand, supply, capacity, and inventory levels to maximize business profitability
- Represent commercial needs with Egg Desk in any co-manufacturing agreements that optimize input costs or mitigate risk
- Accountable for the sales forecast and its representation in short- and long-term planning discussions.
- Supports sales inputs into new capital projects to prioritize the most meaningful investments to maintain and grow the top and bottom line
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (or 10 years of equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible and related sales experience
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft applications
- Up to 35% travel
- Valid Driver’s license in good standing
