The Role And You
The VP of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) oversees the processes for Allied OMS’ (Allied) operational Financial Planning and analysis functions across its portfolio of Oral Surgery practices and corporate support functions (MSO). This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is the central liaison between FP&A, corporate, and operations teams. This position is responsible for managing the preparation of Allied’s annual budget, forecasts, and monthly financial reporting and provides financial support to the executive leadership team, which includes the preparation of presentations for the board of directors and external parties. Dealing with sensitive data and high-priority projects are key components of this position, including ownership of the company’s budgeting and forecasting process, coordination of data for acquisitions (pre/post-integration), and other special projects as needed. This position requires a broad understanding and appreciation of accounting and business operations and will be instrumental in partnering across the organization to support the strategic direction of a high-growth Private Equity backed healthcare business.

- Reports to CFO
- Leads and manages through change and ambiguity with focus and a bias for action
- Coordinate the annual operating/capital budgeting process, including procedure, timeline, and deliverables
- Determine operational targets across the portfolio of practices, analyze operational trends to support budget assumptions, and work with other corporate departments to integrate their budgets
- Evaluates projects or plans through financial modeling to determine budgetary/cash impact
- Building Forecast and Pro-Forma models, including acquisitions for the multisite practice locations and corporate entity (MSO)
- Maintain monthly forecasts for the overall company, evaluate operating expenses, and assess/report budget vs. actual performance aimed to drive understanding and performance
- Review monthly P&Ls, prepare statistical analyses, narratives, and charts to understand and provide management commentary to the senior executive team
- Preparing & analyzing Dashboard/KPI/Productivity reporting by serving as the subject matter expert on operational metrics, producing meaningful financial operation analyses to assist management with improving the operations of the practices in real-time
- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives/special projects
- Participate in acquisition due diligence and financial integration
- Ad hoc reporting for senior management
- Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Significant experience in finance, with at least five years in management
- Experience in managing professional staff
- Ability to apply a high level of focus working on multiple large-scale priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Advanced Excel skills (preferred experience with Sage Intacct)
- Healthcare experience preferred
