Clean Energy pioneered renewable natural gas (RNG) as a vehicle fuel in the U.S. and we continue to be the largest provider of RNG for transportation. We have an extensive network of nearly 600 fueling stations across North America, and can deliver RNG to any station, public or private. Renewable fuel and station infrastructure sales and financing is the focus of the role.

Summary
Provide leadership, technical oversight, management, innovative vision, strategies to increase revenue and volume as well as overall direction in increasing Clean Energy’s presence with all key stakeholders with the trucking supply chain / shipper community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide strategic oversight for the assigned sector and/or regional to increase sales of natural gas for the company.
Provide leadership and direction to the department by mentoring, setting expectations, delegating tasks, responding to staff inquiries, and evaluating performance.
Lead the sales team to manage and grow relationships with key prospects, client, and partners in the natural gas fuel industry.
Develop and maintain the company’s sales competency and capability.
Oversee expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements.
Provide guidance and/or participate in sales presentations and proposals to key clients.
Establish and develop relationships with local decision makers (i.e. city council members, fleet managers, public works directors, etc.).
Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
Review and understand demand for proposed projects based on market research and consumer trends.
Review and understand station contracts and fueling agreements.
Recommend and implement changes in support of continuous improvement efforts.
Expand the sales team to add/compliment expertise needed to reach the company’s goals.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, 10+ years of related experience and/or training and 10+ years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
