Job description

About the company:

HP, the company that founded Silicon Valley, is the leading printing and personal systems technology company in the world, and we are here to create technology that makes life better for everyone, everywhere. We apply new thinking and ideas to create more simple, valuable, and trusted experiences with technology, continuously improving the way our customers live and work.

HP’s vision and promise are to engineer experiences that amaze our customers. With the heart, creativity, and energy of a startup, and the brain, muscles, and determination of a Fortune 100 corporation, operating in more than 170 countries, we continue to deliver ground-breaking new technologies to build on our 70+ year legacy of innovation.

HP’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion – it's just who we are. From the boardroom to factory floor, we create a culture where everyone is respected and where people can be themselves, while being a part of something bigger than themselves. We celebrate the notion that you can belong at HP and bring your authentic self to work each and every day. When you do that, you’re more innovative and that helps grow our bottom line. Come to HP and thrive!

About the position:

In addition to its core strengths in Personal Systems, Printing, and Collaboration, HP is advancing its capabilities as a solution provider. Building on a strong heritage in managed print services and expanding into areas including managed device services and managed collaboration services, HP is helping its customers improve employee productivity across their workforce and workspace. Our portfolio and partnerships in software and services enable us to provide a comprehensive portfolio of compelling solutions to our enterprise, mid-market, and even, in partnership with our strategic channel partners, to the SMB segment. An important enabler of this growth initiative is expanding our Managed Services capabilities to ensure we can deliver ongoing monitoring, management, and support of high-value solutions to our customers. To help us build out this important capability, we are seeking an experienced executive to lead the transformation and growth of our Managed Services business.

The VP and GM of Managed Services is a global role responsible for overseeing the portfolio of monitoring, management, and support practices as well as high-quality service delivery to our customers. This leader will drive the strategy, innovation, and execution of our Managed Services capabilities while also focusing on transforming a global organization of talented, motivated people supporting the growth objectives of our Personal Systems, Printing, and Workforce Solutions business units.

This leader will be responsible for the definition, delivery, and overall P&L of horizontal Managed Services capabilities supporting multiple customer solution areas relating to the Future of Work (including our Modern Workforce, Next-Gen Workspace, Transformational IT Management, and Security). These solutions include hardware, software, services, and supplies from both HP and third parties. These solutions can be sold and/or deployed by our world-class channel and partner service network.

Experience in the IT Managed Services industry is required. The ideal candidate has experience in a growth-oriented enterprise organization transforming and growing its global Managed Services business unit. The candidate should have direct experience in moving from siloed, technology-centric, managed service capabilities to consistent, horizontal capabilities. This leader should be focused not only on operational excellence, but increasing customer satisfaction and demonstrating how HP can deliver recurring value. The successful leader should be analytical, results-oriented, self-driven, willing to work with ambiguity, and have a “can-do” attitude. The candidate must have a proven track record of both running services operations and transforming those operations into a new business globally. The candidate should also be excellent at nurturing cross-organization relationships to accomplish goals. Executive presentation skills are a significant part of the role. A passionate and energized change management individual is required to help assess, recommend, evangelize, and implement best industry standards. Experience in the end user computing or audio / visual industry including collaboration systems, conferencing and telephony is a plus.
