The Vice President & General Manager of Ship Repair, San Diego (SDSR) will be responsible for leading the performance and continued growth of the San Diego Yard which is a critical part of the Platforms & Services $1B Ship Repair business. This key area for P&S encompasses $400M in annual sales and employs over 1100 BAE employees.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as a role model and steward of BAE's values. Demonstrates personal integrity and high ethical standards in all business transactions (customers, employees, shareholders). Listens attentively, speaks candidly, and treats others with respect and enforces the Ship Repair Respect in the Workplace Management Statement to all employees.
- Creating and promoting a Safety, Health and Environmental Culture that focuses on continued improvement in safety performance for the business. Has experience in overseeing worksites that are OSHA VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) designated.
- Driving growth by bidding and winning work as well as executing work in compliance with defined production and cost schedules. Drives to deliver results ahead of schedule and under budget
- Solving quality, cost, and resource planning. Responds to customer requested changes with strong business acumen, ability to drive productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

2023 CA Salary Range: $229,600 - $390,300

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
