Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

Our team is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our group of experienced patient care specialists.

Job Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy & blood sample processing.
• Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; and reporting patient history summary.
• Assists with office procedures.
• Uses computer applications, EMR/HER, and electronic patient charting.
• Collaborates with team members to deliver high-quality patient experience.
• Provide support to the team with other administrative tasks as necessary.
• Maintains medical supplies inventory and performing preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; Gen 5 Policies & Procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Ability to commit to set regular work hours.

Qualifications

· Medical Assisting Certification (Required)

· Blood draw experience is required.

· Excellent work ethic and accountability (Required)

· Patient Care: 1 year (Preferred)

· Administrative Skills: 1 year (Preferred)
