Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in preparing financial statements, including posting journal entries, managing accruals, reconciling accounts, and compiling reporting
- Develop and prepare various reporting, including dashboards, trend tracking, and KPIs, to ensure effective decision-making for management teams
- Support CFO in the preparation of financial presentations
- Present financial information to the company’s various management teams
- Oversee all treasury functions with the Controller team
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting functions
- Lead the creation of annual operating and capital budgets with the Controller team, as well as the monthly review and oversight of actual results versus budgeted
- Complete lender reports, manage lender communications, and assist the CFO with new or renewed debt closings
- Coordinate activities of third-party CPAs
- Prepare and organize supporting documentation and work papers for annual CPA audited, reviewed, or compiled financial statements
- Manage payroll processing systems, reporting, and internal team
- Administer the company’s 401k plan and annual audit
- Manage insurance policy reporting and claims
- Support the CFO with all legal matters including contract negotiations, existing agreement management, NDAs, and litigation
- Lead the Controller team in conjunction with our IT Department in the development of new reporting and systems as required by operational needs or growth
- Evaluate current accounting functions and programs, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes or tools as needed
- Manage administrative staff priorities and workload
- Complete regular visits to all operations to support on-site systems as well as operational managers and employees
- Assume additional projects and responsibilities as the need arises
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
- The successful candidate should show evidence of organizing and managing in situations where details matter and time constraints apply.
- Strong communication and persuasive skills are paramount.
- Humility, personal confidence, security, and maturity are important.
- Successful track record of working in a hands-on business in a leadership role.
