What you will do
As a leader of Credit and Capital Markets, the VP will partner with the PGIM Private Capital (PPC) investment professionals and other private-side investment units in the originations and management of privately placed investments. The Capital Markets team provides market intelligence, pricing comparables assistance, structuring guidance, rate setting, and FX coordination on all private placement deal flow. Additional responsibilities below.
What you can expect

  • Upholds data integrity standards, supporting a network of investment originators across the US, Europe, Australia, and Latin America.
  • Fast paced environment with the need to field multiple requests daily as transactions flow through the investment origination pipeline.
  • Execute live rate setting for new transactions
  • Construct and maintain proprietary spreadsheet and PowerBI models
  • Monitor public and private bond market conditions, sharing relevant developments across the organization
  • Train investment professionals on bond market and asset pricing conventions
  • Support trading of private placements and maintain trader relationships to access attractive buy / sell opportunities

What you will bring
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, required
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on finance, business administration, or related field, required
  • Strong understanding of fixed and floating rate market conventions
  • Familiarity with FX swap conventions
  • Attention to detail and a strong risk control consciousness
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to share sometimes complex material in digestible form with unit staff, PPC teams, and partners
  • An ability to develop and maintain a motivated team, committed to partnering with origination teams providing accurate and timely service
  • An ability to prioritize competing urgent requests
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • An interest in fixed income markets

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary range for this role is from $170,000 to $195,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. This role is also eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits including a competitive, discretionary annual cash bonus opportunity along with long term incentive awards. Eligibility to participate in the discretionary annual incentive programs are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance
