A Senior Market Planning Analyst is accountable for overseeing the analytic function within Fairview’s Market Analytics department. As a key member of the Market Analytics team, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for training, motivating, and developing analysts within the department, in addition to overseeing projects produced by the analytic team. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for design, completion, and delivery of core market analytics. This position is responsible for quality control, process efficiency, and ensuring timelines and expectations are met. The Senior Analyst will support the Fairview system, clinical service lines, and sites with actionable insight into the strategic business growth plans. This position will support aspects of the strategic planning process, support cross-functional teams to advance select strategic initiatives, conduct and apply research to support strategy formulation, and assist with the development of tactical plans. The Senior Market Planning Analyst will work with teammates, operational leaders, and physicians across the organization and will be expected to participate in strategy sessions and present analyses to leaders across the organization. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), strong critical thinking skills, and effective time management.

- Manages the completion of annual environmental assessment for Fairview Service Lines, through an in-depth understanding of the current business, market trends, and forecasts.
- Conducts executive sponsored analyses to identify and pursue opportunities for business development.
- Completes market assessments, (this includes interpretation of business and market trends that affect profitability, growth and market position) for new business opportunities and service line growth plans to clarify opportunities and threats to growing Fairview volumes.
- Supports analytics for various strategic planning tools including Market-Based Volume Forecasting and Physician Resource Planning.
- Communicates verbally and visually the business and market findings to a broad audience, including senior leadership (ability to tell stories with data).
- Builds relationships with contracted vendors and effectively uses their business and planning tools to drive growth.
- Facilitates a variety of teams and groups across the organization in decision making or to achieve specific goals.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health care, marketing, economics
- 4+ years’ experience in market research, strategic planning, or financial planning and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (predominantly Excel), strong critical thinking skills and effective project management.
- Facilitation methods
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, MHA
- 7+ years’ experience in market research, strategic planning, financial planning and analysis
- Healthcare industry background
- Knowledge of GIS software
- Knowledge of third party claims data
