Form of workThe Department of Computer Science at Purdue University Fort Wayne (http://www.pfw.edu) seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor for the 2023-2024 academic year with a preferred effective start date of August 14, 2023. A later start date is negotiable. Requirements for the position: Ph.D. (preferred) or master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field by the start date; a demonstration of strong teaching skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; an interest in working with students and collaborating with the business community; and commitment to excellence.
Position responsibilities will include teaching 12 credit hours, or the equivalent, per semester of Computer Science and Information Systems courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. PFW is the largest university in Northeast Indiana. The Computer Science department provides a collegial, collaborative environment for its faculty and staff with a strong commitment to students' success. All the Bachelor degree programs offered by the Department are ABET-accredited.

We require evidence of teaching experience or effectiveness and a 1-2-page teaching philosophy. Candidates who are invited for a campus visit will deliver a 45-60-minute instructional presentation.
