The Department of Communication Studies, Dance, and Theatre at Saint Mary’s College invites applications for a non-tenure track, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor appointment for a teacher/scholar with a Ph.D. (ABD acceptable) in Communication Studies. Teaching experience is strongly preferred.
Communication Studies, Dance, and Theatre at Saint Mary’s includes the programs in Dance, Theatre and Communication Studies. The program in Communication Studies offers a major in Communication Studies as well as a minor in Public Relations/Advertising.

The teaching load is three courses each semester. Teaching responsibilities include one section of the introductory course, Introduction to Communication Studies W each semester (4 credits). The remainder of the teaching load will be selected from the following courses: Media and Society, Advertising, Persuasion, Introduction to Rhetoric through Popular Culture, Interpersonal Communication, and Research in Rhetoric.
