Pay Range: $57,244 - $71,566 annual compensation

A Video Producer/Director job is available with the City of Fort Worth Communications & Public Engagement Department in the Fort Worth TV Division. We are looking for a strong story-teller to create visually compelling and engaging content.
The Video Producer/ Director is responsible for writing, producing, capturing, and editing videos, photos, animations, and other visual media used for broadcast, social media and web content to communicate City goals, projects, programs, and initiatives. The position will
perform all phases of video and multimedia production from pre- to post-production and set up and operate internal and external broadcast productions such as live government meetings or community events.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in radio, television or film production or a related field
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible television production experience
- Valid Texas driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Office (intermediate)
- Strong writing skills (Short form and long form content)
- Strong editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
- Strong videography/photography skills
The Video Producer/Director job responsibilities include:
- Produce multimedia digital content for broadcast and social media platforms
- Perform all phases of video and multimedia production from pre- to post-production including script writing, shooting, and editing
- Coordinate all logistics related to video production including locations, interviews, and equipment
- Operate field and studio cameras and related equipment to record a variety of project material in a variety of environments; make technical adjustments and troubleshoot equipment to ensure high-quality productions
- Prepare on-air graphics and production assets for broadcast meetings and video projects
- Set up and direct single and multi-camera productions including community events and live government meetings as needed
Working Conditions
Medium work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
