Develops dynamic videos, motion graphics, and other assets to support company training and internal / external communication. Collaborates with Learning Managers, internal clients, and subject matter experts to ensure assets are engaging, innovative, and meet learning and communication objectives accurately.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Video Production and Project Management
- Develops engaging videos and animations for corporate announcements, procedures, and training demonstrations
- Maintains strong relationships with multiple clients during analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of video and learning projects
- Consults with Learning Managers and internal clients at early stages of projects to select asset development options that fit within time, budget, and delivery constraints
- Tracks/updates work progress through applicable project management tools
- Conducts filming, still photography, and other asset sourcing, both on-location and in-studio
- Responsible for maintaining and organizing video production equipment, including lighting, audio, and teleprompter
- Monitors project and deliverables and keeps all stakeholders informed
Technical Leadership
- Provides technical support for other Instructional Designers during post-production.
- Researches and shares development techniques to promote innovation within the organization
- Periodically provides one-on-one or group training on technical topics for other team members
Training Development
- May support translation of course material into other languages, primarily Spanish and Canadian French, particularly incorporation of subtitles on video files
- May support additional instructional development, including images, Power Point decks, and content in asynchronous learning development tools
- Maintains and updates courses as well as written material
MINIMUM Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or four years minimum directly related work experience
Experience
- Four (4) years of work experience in instructional and web-based design/development and/or video production
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Superior communication and project management skills
- Knowledge of advanced videography, lighting, and motion graphics techniques as needed
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Pr, AE, Il, Ps, Au)
- Knowledge of Lectora, Captivate, and / or other SCORM compliant authoring tools is preferred
- Ability to travel as needed
Work CONDITIONS
Work Environment
- Requires in-office or on-location work on a regular basis, with remote work available on a scheduled basis and as-needed for scheduled video / photography sessions
- Limited outdoor work for video / photography during all seasons and weather conditions
- Occasional local travel to field locations in and around the Houston area
- Occasional travel to other US states for video / photography sessions
- Comply with dress code policy based on work location
Work Postures
- Occasional continuous periods of time standing and operating video / audio equipment, up 6 hours per day, during filming
- Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
- Climbing stairs to access buildings periodically
Physical Demands
- Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, computers, phone usage, manipulating video equipment, and audio editing
- Limited lifting of less than 50 pounds
