POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The VPTC serves on the CEO's senior leadership team and oversees the development and implementation of Talent management/human resources policies, plans and services, including recruitment, selection, legal compliance, employee benefits, compensation, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, employment practices and procedures, employee communications/events and risk management.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Fiscal Management: Responsible for budget in areas of responsibility, including branch areas of responsibility.
- Program Development: Responsible for overall governance, with the COO, of association HR, Risk Management, training & staff development in all program & membership areas.

- Supervision / Staff Development: Recruit, train, supervise, develop, and retain staff. Lead Association Teams.
- Financial Development: Participate in strong kids campaign and United Way Campaign.
- Volunteer Development: Guide the work of volunteers on the HR & Leadership Advisory council. Assist in volunteer development within association.
- Safety / Risk Management: Set & Ensure all association policies and guidelines are followed.
- Quality: Ensure all programs & membership quality standards of YMCA of Greater Tulsa are met.
- Certification Requirements: Obtain appropriate certifications within 12 months of hire. Ensure all staff obtain appropriate certifications

Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
- YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred.
- Eight or more years of professional experience in all aspects of human resources management and staff development and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge and professional experience in planning and policy, talent management, selection, compensation, benefits, training and staff development, employee relations, and performance management.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources.
- Proficiency in business and human resources related computer applications, which may include talent management systems, time and attendance systems, etc.
- Senior human resources certification (SPHR or equivalent) preferred.
- Physical Requirements: High level of concentration and aptitude for learning wide variety of program information and new computer applications; Excellent public presentation skills; Able to physically move to and within each YMCA branch and observe actions; Physically able to stand and verbally present for 4+ hours on a monthly basis; Physically able to sit at a computer station for extended periods of time; Ability to speak distinctly to communicate with customers and staff on the phone or in person; Ability to respond in emergency situations as well as train others how to respond; Patience to deal with angry members/staff and to deal with 5 or more people at the same time; Sound judgment and problem-solving skills for dealing with daily issues in a variety of situations and with people of all socioeconomic levels.

Salary Description
$95,000- $120,000 based on experience
