MUD\WTR’s Vice President of Sales will be responsible for executing all revenue & profit targets for sales activities occurring offline (Natural/Specialty, Alt Channels, Target, and future conventional and big box expansion). This sales leader will be responsible for growing current relationships in the space as well as identifying new opportunities for growth.
The Vice President of Sales (Offline) should have a track record of working collaboratively with marketing and commercial teams to support sales efforts, and a history of exceeding sales & profit targets. The candidate must be someone who is motivated by the immense growth potential in this role that starts with building strong foundations that will drive long-term success. It is important for the candidate to be able to fluidly navigate between daily execution and strategic growth
The ideal candidate has 8-10 years of experience in the natural channel serving customers like Whole Foods, Sprouts, Wegmans, Natural Grocers, INFRA, and NCG. The Vice President will immediately assume responsibility for three direct reports (our Sales Ops & Planning Manager, Alternate Channels Sales Manager, and an Account Executive) and thus should be skilled a mentoring and motivating teams to achieve lofty goals.
You Will
- Expand MUD\WTR’s presence in the natural channel and beyond by growing current customers through effective trade spend and set expansion as make HQ calls on critical new accounts
- Manage MUD\WTR’s grocery and alternate channels P&L with responsibility for revenue growth and maximization of gross profit dollars
- Manage customer specific programs inclusive of trade activity, point of sale materials, digital coupons, customer specific ads, etc.
- Lead our network of distributors, brokers, and merchandising teams in alignment with the sales pipeline
- Deliver sales forecasts and budget updates directly to executive leadership, and communicate plans when there’s deviation from plan.
- Leverage Sales Operations to report on sales activities and generate plans to resolve any issues in the field
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop and deploy best-in-class sales materials and partner specific programs for growth
- Support Marketing and Commercial teams in defining innovation, pricing, and promotional strategies for retail
- Work with the Commercialization teams to ensure new product delivery timelines are accurate and meet overarching sales objectives
- Manage our current Sales Operations and Alt Channel Managers and lead them to grow their current and future lines of business

Base salary for this role is $150k - 200k base salary + sales incentives. Salary is determined through interviews and a review of candidate experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary MUD\WTR offers a comprehensive benefits program as well as equity.
