Summary
Harwood International is looking to hire a Vice President of Sales and Marketing. This individual is responsible for planning, directing, and implementing all Sales and Marketing objectives needed to develop a profitable and successful operation of Hotel Swexan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and direct the overall Sales and Marketing efforts of the hotel as they relate to room, guest experience, food and beverage by providing conceptual and strategic thinking and planning
- Implement the department's annual budget and sales programs for the hotel to maximize rate, occupancy and food & beverage opportunities
- Collaborate with Harwood Hospitality's Marketing Department to keep all collateral up to date, monitors social media feeds and feedback
- Responsible for securing Sales and reaching out to high profile clients, and negotiations
- Solicitation of accounts to add new business for the Hotel, as well as maintenance of existing accounts
- Timely input of information relative to all accounts into database system with proper follow up and tracing responsibilities
- Maintaining memberships in organizations as assigned as well as on going participation in such organizations
- Research and forecast market trends and identify new opportunities to promote the Hotel brand
- Achieve annual hotel revenue goals as agreed upon and established in the annual budget
- Display agility in balancing short-notice requests with longer-term projects while under stringent deadlines
- Compile and/or direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department as required
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Keep abreast of all trends in the industry and educates team
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Director of Sales and Marketing or higher in a luxury branded hotel
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Business Management
- Proven track record growing revenues through the management of marketing and sales operations, processes, and teams
- Strong communications, excellent written and oral communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Experience in luxury brands, hospitality, commercial real estate, residential real estate industries preferred.
- Real Estate Industry / Hospitality industry experience.
