Job Summary:
The Materials Management Supervisor works to achieve MRP accuracy with significant and long-lasting impact on departmental results, including developing, guiding, and coaching a team of MRP controllers. This individual will be accountable for inventory accuracy, MRP Health Metrics, and implementation of program MRP strategies. This professional understands and applies material management principles that enable them to develop solutions to a variety of problems. This person also is responsible for analyzing material availability in support of contract requirements.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The successful candidate will work to enable decision making and collaboration across a variety of functions and program areas through data analysis, simulation, and fact-based influence. The individual in this role will need to quickly develop credibility and influence, while leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills to align floor demand execution to operational plans with supply chain strategies and financial targets and meet critical customer deadlines. Candidate will be a working lead, required to support the daily prioritization of the workload, track status to ensure requests are being completed in a timely manner; coordinate identified issues with the appropriate business and program contacts to rectify issues impacting MRP and initiate corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Professional experience in a defense manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of PRISM/ SAP
Working knowledge of MRP, production planning, procurement
Understanding of Material Requirements Planning in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with SAP
Must be well organized, problem solver and innovative thinker.
Able to work independently and have the ability and desire to be a change agent.
Fundamental knowledge of government contracting requirements
Ability to filter and distill relevant information from complex datasets into simple messages.
