WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to solve sophisticated Software Engineering problems supporting Nike’s pursuit to provide innovative tools to our product designers and design consumers. The candidate must be highly collaborative with peers, productive in a fast-paced development environment, and have a depth of native cloud Software Engineering experience.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
We are the Design Platform team, and in this role you will help as we continue to build modular, configurable, and “API-First” capabilities serving Nike’s product creation community. We are building a native cloud platform with microservices providing high accessibility at high volumes and with real-time accuracy to Nike’s digital product assets. This role directly impacts the work our design team does daily!
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role is part of the larger Global Technology organization working on the Design Platforms team and reports to the Engineering Director. You will work day-to-day with a team of engineers, the team’s Technical Product Manager, and Principal Engineers on software projects to achieve Nike’s business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or similar field or relevant professional experience, education, and training.
- 4+ years of hands-on industry software development experience.
- Proven expertise in node.js
- Experience with cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD and related tools.
- Experience with AWS platform including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, s3
- Modern testing methodologies and frameworks Mocha, Jasmine and Jest
- Strong understanding of architectural design patterns and computer science fundamentals.
- Ability to rapidly prototype and build robust, scalable solutions and to discern which approach is appropriate for meeting business objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both technical and business-facing.
- A track record of working with ambiguity and getting things done in a changing landscape.
- Experience with React, Vue, QT, or equivalent frameworks is a plus
- Experience with asset storage and content management systems a plus
- Product Creation experience is a plus
