We are looking for a full-time, remote team member for our Vice President of Client Services position. 

 


 

BCMS was founded in 1985 as a practice management company. In 2000, it restructured and redefined its corporate mission to be a servant leader in outpatient therapy compliance consultation and product provision. It has six product lines: Outpatient Therapy Compliance Program (policies, procedures, and resources); Audits & Appeals Program; Enrollment and Credentialing Services; Educational Programs & Services; Compliance Consultation; and,

E-newsletter SIPA (Seriously Important Practice Alerts).


 

The Vice-President of Client Compliance is a senior level position requiring compliance expertise with an emphasis on federal regulations related to outpatient therapy services. This position commands that the individual be client-driven with a personal presentation style that generates confidence, knowledge, and professional competency. Key responsibilities of this role include policy creation and updates, regulatory research and analysis, and compliance consultation.

·        Monitor regulations specific to outpatient therapy

providers (federal and state laws, payment policy, PT/OT practice acts and rules)

·        Determine time-sensitiveness and applicability to

outpatient therapy settings and providers

Policy drafting and dissemination

·        Draft compliance policies using clear, concise, and intelligible language

·        Create and update policy-related forms

·        Create regulatory or best practice Snippets

·        Co-produce SIPA (Seriously Important Practice Alerts) providing time-sensitive information and guidance

       Provide client consultation

       Provide workforce support consultation

       Present webinars and live presentations

5%

Miscellaneous duties

       Participate in Corporate Partner Special Projects

       Participate or lead Client Special Projects


 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Education: Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Experience: Seven to ten years as a clinical outpatient musculoskeletal physical therapist
  • License: Active license, in good standing, as a physical therapist in a state in the USA.

Optional:

  • Certifications (optional): Certification in Healthcare Compliance, Certification in HIPAA: Privacy and/or Security, Certified as Healthcare Surveyor, Certified Coder, Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, or other position-relevant certifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

 

  • Demonstratable Knowledge & Experience:
    • Outpatient physical therapy musculoskeletal practice
    • OSHA, HIPAA (Privacy & Security Rules), Licensure Laws and Rules, Federal Payment and Coverage Policies and Regulations
    • English language communication (syntax, grammar, outline, editing, extensive vocabulary) and medical terminology
    • Research strategy, information classification, and content vetting for authenticity
    • MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint), Zoom, Google Suite, and other virtual meeting platform proficiency
    • Adobe Systems (including forms creation & editing)
  • Demonstratable Skills:
    • Communication (verbal, non-verbal, written, visual, and listening)
    • Organization & time management (multi-tasking capabilities under pressure deadlines)

Remote Working Environment

  • Has a work environment that affords HIPAA privacy for duty execution.
  • Has a work environment and personal presentation that represents the company positively and professionally.   

Exposure Determination:

  • Has no potential for Hazardous Substance Exposure due to work duties.
  • Has no has no potential for Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure due to work duties.

 

HIPAA Access, Use & Disclosure Status:

Has been determined eligible for full access to and use of PHI & EPHI based on work responsibilities in compliance with 'minimal necessary' standards.

Physical Demand Capacity:

  • Sitting---routinely for 1-2 hours uninterrupted
  • Lifting---occasionally light loads (5-10 pounds)
  • Bending & reaching—routinely for office duties
  • Walking—routinely to access office equipment, etc.
  • Viewing monitor screen/using the keyboard—routinely > 2-hour duration
