We are looking for a VP Marketing in North American region, as we see the need to further grow the Specialty Rental business in industrial manufacturing and energy, as well to guide and support the local sales teams in the rental customer centers.

 

What can you expect?

As the VP Marketing you will lead a team of colleagues who are collectively responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the business, including pricing, digital communication and the transformation towards the customer center of the future. You will report to the General Manager for the North American Region and will be a key member of the Regional Management team. As the largest region in ASR, you will also be an influential contributor to the divisional marketing council.

 

The mission

Your mission is to maintain the momentum that has built up in the North American business and to build a strong structure that will unleash our full potential over the long term. You and your team will drive the full potential planning process with the intention to continuously expand the core business while exploring quantum leaps into new geographies, segments, customers, technologies and business models.

 

More specifically, to be successful in the mission it is fundamental to deliver across the following areas:

 

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and lead the overall marketing strategy which should deliver the business objectives for the region.
    • Collaborate with the management team to integrate marketing plans into the broader organizational strategy.
    • Collaborate with the divisional marketing team to integrate and localize the overall divisional strategy.

 

  • Growth Initiative Execution:
    • Establish data-driven insights and analytics that enhance the decision-making processes.
    • Clearly identify market opportunities, by conducting research into market trends and customer requirements.
    • Initiate marketing campaigns across various channels, tracking performance and making adjustments as needed.
    • Lead the sales efficiency process through strong territory management and close support of the PGA process.
    • Work closely with sales and other functional teams to ensure marketing alignment with overall business goals.

 

  • Digital Marketing & Communications
    • Drive internal and external visibility using whichever online and digital channels bring the best results
    • Constantly improve the relevance and effectiveness of our messaging by analyzing customer impact
    • Create and manage the needed sales efficiency tools, such as R-PSM; CPQ, Showpad, Share Point, etc.

 

 

 

  • Product Marketing:
    • Define master specifications for local products and provide input for the division ones.
    • Clearly define a strategy for each technology and product - specific for each territory
    • Develop, execute and update the go-to-market strategies for all products.
    • Ensure successful product launches and trade show support.
    • Create compelling product messaging and positioning.
    • Maintain product documentation.

 

  • Brand Management:
    • Continuously enhance brand awareness and market positioning, adjusting activities as the market evolves.
    • Oversee brand development and positioning, including for local acquisitions.

 

  • Price Management:
    • Develop a robust and systematic price management process, improving pricing consistency and sophistication.
    • Support the contract pricing negotiation process with data, logic and strategic thinking.

 

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Create and maintain an empowered, energized and engaged team, giving them the freedom to act.
    • Instill a growth mindset into all team members, enabling each one to reach their full potential.
    • Become an active and valuable member of the regional management team, driving common goals like safety and sustainability across the whole organization.

 

What can we expect of you?

 

Experience requirements

  • The successful candidate should have a solid marketing and sales experience.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities are also critical to be successful.
  • A deep understanding of different marketing channels, technologies and tools is also expected.
  • University degree in Marketing, Business, or similar through experience.
  • You have awareness of local cultures and international business environments.
  • The candidate must have an excellent command of English while Spanish & French would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Way We Rent would also be useful.

As a VP Marketing, you will be based in our corporate office in Deer Park, TX. You will have some travel with this position.

This position is hybrid, you will need to come into the office every week, but not typically every day.
