- Provides visionary leadership, direction, operational oversight, and development and execution of the strategic business growth of Lindahl Reed’s D.C. Operations.
- Works as an integral member of the leadership team, providing analysis, insights, and advice on business strategy, direction, performance, and execution to align with company goals.
- Collaborates closely with other executive leaders, practice and operational leads, and advisors to the board to support the development and implementation of strategic business development vision/plans.
- Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within client and partner organizations to obtain business intelligence, maintain market awareness and position Lindahl Reed for new business opportunities.
- Develops business to align with market opportunities, resources, and company vision, including overall service and technology road map designed to accelerate growth opportunities.
- Oversees and manages DC Metro Area resources, including personnel planning, communication, mentoring, professional development, and other external vendors and partners.
- Manages contracts, programs, and projects, as applicable.
- Performs the role as the program manager on large government contracts, as applicable.
- Leads and supports proposal efforts.
- Develops, manages and mentors assigned personnel to enable them to grow in their current roles and beyond.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and minimum of 20 years of professional consulting experience in federal markets required.
- 10 or more years of experience in Department of Energy market required; additional knowledge and experience with Department of Defense and federal customers preferred.
- Expertise with clean energy technologies, decarbonization, electrification, energy resilience, and energy security.
- Existing network of business-to-business or government agency contacts within the federal market.
- Knowledge of competitors in this market space and experience in competitive assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present technical presentations to internal and external clientele and the ability to lead proposals.
- Competency and proficiency with structured business development, capture, and proposal processes.
- Strong writing, communication, and facilitation skills, team-focused mentality, and commitment to continuous learning.
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines, with multiple/simultaneous bid/proposal efforts, and occasional travel.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively work with a diverse workforce of professionals and to work collaboratively with all team members.
- Self-starter, driven and able to work with limited direction under target timelines.
- Ability to translates complex ideas into processes and tactical plans.
