As the industry sector VP you will be a market leader within the Regulated Industries and be responsible for formulating and executing a strategy to enable customers to realize the vision of the Intelligent Enterprise, RISE, AI, and embracing the promise of SAP go-to-market portfolio.  The execution of the strategy will be reinforced by building and sustaining diverse and inclusive teams that reflect the culture and behaviors of performance, accountability, and operational excellence.  With the appropriate amount of focus on effective partnership with SAP license and SAP Services delivery components, the leader will generate top-line growth with positive financial results.

 

What You will Do

 

  • Build a demand generation culture by embracing a customer-first mentality that incorporates federal government industry expertise, awareness of meaningful business outcomes, and innovation thought leadership
  • Lead a diverse team to become results-oriented through active employee engagement, visionary communication and coaching, and strategic goal setting that effects motivation and accountability
  • Organize and align resources to maximize return on cost-of-sales investment by exhibiting a disciplined Go-To-Market approach and a solid understanding of operational levers and metrics

 

  • Establish and maintain an executive brand ambassador role in key customer and industry environments representing SAP’s purpose-driven culture and transformational technology leadership
  • Expert-level understanding of operational business concepts around forecasting, territory and account planning, internal governance, sales opportunity cycles, bid, proposal, negotiation, and risk management
  • Evolve with the dynamic nature of the technology industry by actively practicing and promoting continuous learning and improvement, support for individual development and career growth, and establishing meaningful alliances within the SAP partner and ecosystem community

Key Actions & Performance Indicators

 

  • Structure development and effective management of a high-performing Services Sales team
  • Develop and manage employees’ growth and skill sets
  • Actively support and if needed, involvement, in entire Sales Engagement, ensuring a strategic selling motion
  • Drive value realization with deliverables leading to customer satisfaction
  • Liaise within other business units in a matrixed selling model, driving the right programs to create awareness and build pipeline
  • Leverage financial reporting based on Sales KPI’s and forecasting to drive consistent, profitable growth
  • Implement business strategies to ensure customer success, driving revenue targets for software and services.

 

What You Bring: Experience & Language Requirements:

 

Functional:

  • 5+ years experience in a Senior or Expert position in the Services Sales, Consulting or Software industries.
  • Experience in selling to senior-level executives

Managerial:

  • Experience in decision making within own area of responsibility
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in either a direct or matrixed model

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $362,700 - $616,600 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
