Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct to the appropriate department or individual
- Provide general administrative support, such as filing, scanning, downloading files
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for doctors
- Assist with data entry and record keeping tasks
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain office supplies inventory
- Coordinate meetings
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative assistant role preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
Skills:
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology (preferred)
- Ability to handle animals safely and confidently
- Knowledge of medical collection processes (preferred)
- Experience working in a kennel or providing pet care (preferred)
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care (preferred)
Please note that while these skills are preferred, they are not required. We are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
