Greet clients and pets, Answer Phones promptly and professionally using multi-line phone system. Get pets from clients, weigh, and put in exam room or cage to await surgery. Note in medical records the details discussed with client regarding needs of the visit. Check medical and computer records for accurate client addresses, phone numbers and e-mails. Schedule appointments and surgeries according to hospital scheduling guidelines. Fill prescriptions and provide administration instructions to clients. Prepare consent forms, estimates/treatment plans and be able to discuss the hospital's financial policies with clients. Sell retail items and pet food. Enter accurate charges, and be able to explain charges to show value for the care provided, stating all services and provided before the total. Collect payments at the time service are rendered, includin making change for cash payments, processing credit cards and get proper ID for checks. Print and record end of day financial balances, ensuring they are accurate. Balance cash drawer at the end of day.
