Veterinary Receptionist

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our front office team. At MAVH the customer service representative plays a key role in the success of our hospital. Your interactions with our "Family" members are the face of our hospital. Initial client interactions impact customer satisfaction, repeat visits, and the clients perceived quality of care.

Job Description: As a Customer Service Representative you will work hand in hand with customers, veterinarians, veterinary technicians, hospital management and kennel team members. you would work at the front counter greeting clients, filling and selling prescription medications, pet food, and parasite control products. Be responsible for answering a multi-line phone system, preparing patient charts, filing charts, and other clerical duties. Charging out clients and handling money. Educating clients and accurately relaying information to and from staff members to owners. Assisting with the holding of animals, bringing them to the back, and returning them to the front counter when needed.

Requirements:

-High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
-Experience working at a veterinary hospital and/or as a receptionist is desirable but not required. Knowledge of Cornerstone veterinary management software very helpful.
-Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
-Compassion for pets and people alike as well as awareness of reciprocated reaction.
-Ability to lift up to 40lb
