Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Valve Program Specialist is a member of the TAVR team responsible for coordination of the TAVR evaluation process from candidate referral evaluation acceptance procedure and follow-up. The incumbent serves as a resource to staff and multi-disciplinary team and community caring for the TAVR patient. Demonstrates knowledge and skills in the care of patients with end-stage valvular disease and will play a role in the holistic evaluation of patients for TAVR. Skills in the area of critical thinking interpersonal communication conflict management problem solving autonomy and decision-making are highly desirable. Assists in the process of program certification by Medicare. In collaboration with the program Medical Director provides for timely data management. Develops Policies and Procedures order sets and clinical pathways to provide and improve overall quality of care and program development.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- 5 years cardiovascular experience
- Evidence in caring for acute & chronic heart & vascular patients required.
- Previous leadership or coordinator experience.
- Previous experience in cardiac intensive care, cath lab or CTOR
- Ability to solve practical problems & deal with a variety of complex situations when only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- When applicable, adjusts essential functions performed appropriately to the age of patient(s).
- Current Arizona RN license required.
Pay Range
$42.69 - $61.91 /hour
