Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty Coordinating County Education Service Agency programs and activities for educator professional development. Collaborates in grant and project development and writing, implements training program, manages project logistics and grant reporting. Performs related work as assigned.
Please Note: This position is for a Special Education Teacher.
Typical Duties

- Creates and delivers professional development workshops and other training activities.
- Researches and implements best practices in professional development and pedagogy.
- Schedules and publicizes professional development activities, recruits partners and participants.
- Supports program implementation through observation, mentoring and active communication networks.
- Writes and submits proposals.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports, including grant reporting.
- Manages new and ongoing projects, including needs assessment, and program evaluation.
- Assures program contract or regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates and collaborates with community-based organizations, public agencies, coalitions, schools and other entities.
- May recruit, train and supervise student employees, interns and volunteers.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, AZ state teaching certificate and two years related teaching experience in K-12 or University setting; OR any combination of education, training or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment. Final job offer will be contingent upon a satisfactory 5-year Arizona Motor Vehicle Report
Preferred Qualifications includea Special Education teaching certificate; a Master's Degree, experience in grant development, writing and implementation. Experience and skill in teamwork and coaching. Knowledge of core content standards. Experience with culturally diverse populations. Experience in professional development or working with adult learners. Subject content expertise in language arts, science or math.
This position is non-exempt.
This position is At-Will.
