About the team and position

Carvana's Corporate Insurance Team is looking for a well-organized individual that enjoys tackling multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. This role supports the day-to-day needs and operations of Carvana's commercial Insurance Program with respect to the company's general liability, auto physical damage/liability, Workers Compensation and other forms of commercial insurance. The Coordinator works closely with Carvana's insurance broker to issue COIs evidencing Carvana's insurance coverages and supports Workers Compensation compliance needs by ensuring current policy posters and medical panels are posted for all Carvana locations. This position also maintains Insurance Program organizational details such as ensuring Carvana's fleet of owned vehicles are appropriately reported to carriers by way of the broker, maintains organization of commercial policy documents and tracks owned marketing equipment.

This position reports to the Corporate Insurance and Risk Manager and interacts with various internal departments, as well as works closely with Carvana's insurance broker.

What you'll be doing:

  • Works with Carvana's insurance broker to respond to requests from marketing, community engagement teams and other internal groups for COIs for various events.
  • Maintains Carvana's Insurance Program schedule and ensures the schedule remains up to date as policies are renewed and/or acquired
  • Fields requests from internal groups that relate to Carvana's commercial Insurance Program
  • Supports insurance renewal processes, including the collection of data, follow up on the dissemination of renewal COIs, fleet insurance cards
  • Ensures that all new locations receive and display mandatory Workers Compensation posters and medical panels.
  • Works with the broker to add new fleet vehicles and other newly acquired assets to Carvana's insurance policies
  • Assists with the employee Motor Vehicle Record monitoring process
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

What you should know/have:

  • 1+ years experience in a fast paced office or customer service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with internal peers and external vendors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and technically proficient – able to navigate through great depths of detail and effectively track status of a variety of tasks and projects
  • Proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and keep on task
  • Proficiency in standard office applications with strong emphasis on Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Great problem-solving skills (i.e. critical, evaluative thinking)
  • Ability to exercise prudent discretion regarding confidential and sensitive company and personnel information.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in the risk or insurance industry.
