Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: East Syracuse, NY
Job duration: 8 months with possible extensions
Job Description:
Engineering - Mechanical Design - Entry Level Supports performance of research, design, and development of mechanical applications to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and ground test / mechanical tests. Additionally responsible for the CAD support of design projects and execution of Engineering design changes. Typically 0 - 3 years of relevant experience

As a large rooftop intern contractor, you will gain experience to include, but is not limited to activities and tasks listed below:
- Focus Areas
o New Product Development
o Electrical and Mechanical
o Product Documentation
- Specific Tasks
o Develop product documentation and literature, including electrical and physical data tables.
o Support engineering projects by organizing parts for prototype builds and working with mechanics and model shops to build parts and electrical assemblies
o Work with the design team in developing purchased parts specifications
o Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks
Experience/Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven and proactive
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects
Education:
- Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree program, majoring in Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study.
