Job description

Position:Upscale Dining Server (Flexible Schedule / Balanced Shifts)

Reports To: Dining Room Manager, Clubhouse Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Be part of a growing team - ready to learn and develop skills.
  • Serve all members and guests all food and beverage items in a professional and personable manner.
  • Provide fast and efficient service of meals and beverages.
  • Ensure correct billing.
  • Provide excellent service, ensuring all members and guests feel appreciated, cared for and leave with a favorable experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times in accordance with the established dress codes(tattoos are not allowed to be exposed), good posture and a smile .
  • Provide immediate attention to all members/guests upon seating
  • Seat members/guests and deliver menus
  • Clearly communicate guests on the menu and drinks and appropriate combinations of food and drinks
  • Accurately take orders and place orders with kitchen or bar through POS.
  • Be knowledgeable about all food and beverage products that are offered and how they are prepared. A menu presentation table side as well as wine pairing is required.
  • Be flexible to adapt and learn all style of services that are offered.
  • Effectively handle complaints and communicate them to manager or supervisor
  • Work with a “sense of urgency” on behalf of the membership without disrupting the atmosphere of the dining room.
  • Prepare drinks when necessary
  • Assist with banquet functions when necessary
  • Keep service storage stocked with appropriate levels of linen and silverware
  • Reset tables as needed - silver polished, plates polished, glassware sparkling
  • Complete side duty tasks as assigned
  • Assist in keeping dining room and work area neat and clean
  • Begin shift by checking over their sections and making sure all tables are ready for the placement of guests
  • Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
  • Attend meetings as requested
  • Proper execution of POS system (Jonas) to ensure accurate communication between kitchen and service staff

Interaction:

  • Frequent Interaction with members, guests and children

Working Conditions:

  • Restaurant setting (may include Mornings, Nights (not late on average) and Weekends)
  • Occasionally exposed hot, cold and inclement weather conditions
  • Business Hours: Tuesday & Wednesday: 11 am - 8 pm / Thursday & Friday: 11 am - 9 pm / Saturday & Sunday: 8 am - 9 pm. Evening shifts will run later on occasion.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional and friendly manner
  • Knowledge of proper way to serve, set up and clear tables
  • Enjoy learning about all menu items with ingredients and preparations
  • Working knowledge of cocktails
  • Learn about wine and be able to present and suggest wine and food pairings
  • Able to properly execute the POS system (Jonas)
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Valid TABC certification to serve alcohol.
  • Valid Food Handler’s certification to serve food (per Texas law)

  • Hearing and talking sufficient enough to communicate with members, guests and staff.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, vision sufficient enough to read, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent lifting objects 10-20 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to spend long periods on own feet
  • Independent mobility through clubhouse'

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
