What we need:

As our University Relations Manager you'll be developing and maintaining relationships with our core colleges and universities to attract the best and brightest talent to Mohawk.

What you’ll do:

This position manages University Relations and recruits qualified candidates for entry level positions in Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Marketing, Product Development and Management, IS and other professional areas.

• Lead campus recruiting efforts for Mohawk’s North American Flooring Division
• Develop and implement university/college recruitment strategy for Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Marketing, Product Development and Management, IS and other professional areas
• Partner with Business Leaders, HR Leaders and Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition to identify recruiting needs and cascade college recruiting strategy down to the front-line of the organization
• Organize and Lead University Relations Steering Committee in cooperation with Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition
• Train hiring managers, recruiters and HR staff in college recruiting/campus relations fundamentals
• Build relationships with campus stakeholders as well as planning and coordination of campus events (information sessions, career fairs and meetings with faculty)
• Manage and facilitate Intern and recent graduate programs. Plan intern events and social activities, partner with OE Specialist to oversee full-time rotational programs. Identify and implement improvements to the programs.
• Establish Mohawk as an employer of choice on core campuses with focus on diversity and military outreach
• Responsible for building a pipeline of qualified diverse talent.
• Coach hiring managers on interview questions and refresh them on legal issues involved with interviewing.
• Coordinate interview schedule with top candidates and hiring manager.
• Coordinate offer letter, background check, etc. with HR and Compensation team
• Ensure that all candidates are in applicant/employee tracking system for EEO/AA tracking.
• Support other recruiters in their recruiting efforts as needed.
• Other duties as needed.
• Keep abreast of trends, technologies and changes impacting university/college recruitment including social and online recruiting

What you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• 3-5 years in recruiting
• College recruiting experience with a best in class employer is a definite plus

What you’re good at:

• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and the Internet.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn employment laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
• Ability to read, write and interpret routine reports and correspondences.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, follow-up, meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• An outward and inward display of professional decorum, tact, and integrity
