Major/Essential Functions
- This position requires a blend of strong administrative skills and project management expertise to ensure the efficient execution of marketing initiatives and effective communication strategies. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications and works closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications.
- Manage the administrative functions of the marketing and communications department within the college, including budgeting, resource allocation, department inbox management, travel arrangements, and procurement.
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing and communication projects and campaigns.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with college goals and objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including marketing professionals, designers, writers, and external vendors.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Oversee the development and distribution of marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, and digital content. Including print coordination and swag orders.
- Serve as a liaison between the marketing and communications department and vendors, departments/areas/units within the college and on campus, facilitating communication and collaboration on shared initiatives.
- Create and manage dashboards for the department to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts.
- Assess campaign performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate results, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain administrative procedures and workflows to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership to enhance the college's brand visibility and reputation.
- Supervise student assistants, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure high performance and productivity.

- Proven experience in administrative management and project management roles, preferably within a higher education or corporate setting.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software applications.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
About the Department and/or College
The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration is AACSB accredited and houses the School of Accounting that holds separate AACSB accreditation. The college offers the BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several formats of the MBA program are offered in fulltime, weekend, and online modalities in Lubbock, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, and San Antonio. The College offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research and analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. With a faculty of over 140 and a staff that exceeds 80, the college enrolls over 5,000 undergraduate and 800 graduate students.
