Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic cardiovascular examinations on patients in a cardiac facility
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have
- Must be able to perform complete echocardiographic studies, vascular studies- carotid, abdominal and peripheral vascular
- Completion of preliminary reports for physicians, input test data into EMR and printed medical record when approved
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide accurate reports
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information, per HIPPA guidelines.
Requirements/Abilities
-Proficient in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and experience in interpreting images
- Excellent customer service with patient care as your focus
- Able to manage stressful situations in a fast-paced environment
-Must be able to work independently, but still be part of our TEAM
Education
-Graduate of an ultrasound technology program with a certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) required
-BLS certification (preferred)
-Minimum 2 years working as a sonographer
-Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
