We are hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. This position performs obstetric and gynecological, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular exams.
What You'll Do:Demonstrate competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to customer populations and departmental services
Maintain equipment and orders supplies when needed
Prepare and maintain operational logs
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedure
Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Demonstrate competencies in customer service and an understanding of SimonMed’s code of conduct and culture
Use and operate equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment
Adhere to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations; Participate in specific activities for the promotion of self-growth or the enhancement of a positive image
Apply the standards of practice/performance in the work setting to achieve positive outcomes
Successful completion of an approved program in Ultrasound Technology or licensed RT(R) who has received on the job training
Experience preferred
ARDMS registration required
Knowledge in Abdomen, Small parts, Breast and OB (1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester)/GYN, and Vascular imaging
SimonMed Imaging requires a valid ‘Hands-On’ CPR certification
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers
May require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds, pushing patients in wheelchairs, sitting for prolonged periods of time, frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching and occasional balancing and stooping, good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity, and the ability to be readily understood
Dress attire: Ceil blue scrubs
