Form of workEXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing diagnostic medical sonography and related responsibilities in hospitals and/or outpatient settings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of Associates degree in related field; preferred Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Completion of an CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program required,
- Certification/Licensure: 1) ARDMS registration in one of the following areas: Abd, OB/GYN or Adult Cardiac as indicated; additional RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist preferred),. 2) CPR/BLS for Health Care Providers.• Supervisory Experience
- Valid Driver’s License in the State of employment and eligible to maintain insurability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General Job Functions: Ultrasound Technologist (RVT, OB, General)
- Demonstrate proficiency in using and locating supplies and managing High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures and documentation. Must follow protocol for disinfecting and cleaning of equipment and work area.
- Communicate pertinent clinical information and ultrasound findings to the radiologist.
- Participates in the effective utilization and support of the PACS systems.
- Utilize systems such as Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to obtain or enter appropriate care data.
- Perform ultrasound diagnostic studies by accepted protocols.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
- Maintain work areas in compliance with the client’s standards.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and files, as directed.
- Document work processes, as required.
- Assist with conducting new employee orientation and continuous training.
- Support Zone Manager with site inspections.
- Dispatch personnel for on-call services during rotation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION:
Position reports to Manager.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position requires driving to and from client locations to perform duties. Ultrasound duties performed at client locations.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
The position occasionally requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some heaving lifting up to 20 lbs. pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout time tests are performed. Requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for the r operation of equipment.
PUBLIC CONTACT:
Requires some public contact with client patients, client staff, and doctors requiring considerable interpersonal skills, professionalism, and customer service.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Requires knowledge of facility ultrasound technical systems.
