Operate a variety of sophisticated ultrasonic imaging units and reading/reporting systems.
Keep current on technological advances within the ultrasound imaging field.
Review images for identification, technique, and completeness according to governing bodies' standards.
Act as a role model and professional resource to patients, physicians, peers, and the general public.
Provide training to new department staff members and sonography students.
Participate in educational sessions, contributing technical and professional knowledge.
Collaborate in the accreditation and re-accreditation application process for each respective modality.
Perform other duties or assignments as requested by the department supervisor.
Qualifications:
Completion of PGY1 training.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in BMT/Oncology.
Active registry with either Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS, RVS) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS, RVT, RDCS).
AHA BLS certification within sixty (60) days of employment.
