Position Description:
The Trial Program Analyst is responsible for supporting our speech language pathologists trialing a QuickTalker Freestyle speech device with their client or student to ensure they achieve best outcomes. This role is responsible for responding to questions from SLPs about the trial process and engaging in outreach to SLPS during the trial process. In addition, the Trial Program Analyst will work closely with our SLPs to assist with collecting the necessary data to support medical justification associated with writing a successfully approved speech evaluation. As part of the medical funding process, this role will work collaboratively with other AbleNet staff to provide an improvement-centric service experience with both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities of Position:
- Provide a depth of knowledge related to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and how it relates to funding dedicated speech devices
- Responsible for assisting speech language pathologists to determine the data requirements set by the insurance company’s policy
- Evaluate data collected by the speech language pathologist and guide the appropriate next steps
- Meet with SLPs and other stakeholders to achieve best outcomes with a goal of reducing unnecessary time and anxiety from the trial process
- Meet with speech language pathologist during the trial period to answer questions, review data collected and encourage completion of the speech evaluation
- Promote the utilization of AbleNet’s tools and resources to successfully improve insurance approval
- Address all inquiries with the utmost sense of urgency and quality of service.
- Maintain HIPAA and FERPA laws in accordance with the compliance requirements of AbleNet
- Demonstrate the core funding service department philosophies: Listen, Learn, and Lead
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education Requirements:
- Masters in Speech Language Pathology
- At least 3-years of experience working with clients using an iPad-based speech device

Physical Requirements
- Able to do phone work for up to 8 hours per day
- Able to do computer keyboarding for up to 8 hours per day

Standard Office Environment: Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
Time:
Full-Time, Exempt employees work an average of 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Flexible: This role can be performed in a fully onsite, fully remote, or hybrid capacity.
