Eaton's Energy Automation Solutions (EAS) business is currently seeking a ReSurge Program: Business Intelligence Analyst. Please note the Eaton ReSurge cohort will begin their 12-month assignment in April of 2024.

All ReSurge participants will join a cohort with a unique learning and development experience. Each participant's assignment experience will be customized to help them reach their highest potential; no two participants will have the same experience or set of responsibilities.
What you'll do:
Business Intelligence Analyst:
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work with cross-functional teams across the business to transform data into value-added insights that can drive efficiencies in processes. You will be consolidating data from various sources, creating maintainable data models, and reporting that is intuitive and actionable. The position will require proficiency in data manipulation, data analysis, data modeling and visualization skills. Essential duties include:

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and enhance data management models, driving best practices. Translate requirements into functional interactive dashboards using Power BI.
  • Document reporting developed solutions for long term maintainability. Create standard operation procedures and provide training to improve business analytics.
  • Develop improved data governance practices to ensure proper distribution of data, version control, and appropriately release incremental updates/upgrades.
  • Evaluate operations for inefficiencies and identify areas where you can create, automate, and develop tools to extract knowledge and actionable information.
  • Support the business with ad hoc reporting as needed

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 3+ years Power BI and SQL experience to build functional dashboards
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1+ year of a voluntary career break from your profession
• 25% travel may be required.
• Deep knowledge writing SQL queries for data preparation and ability to mine data from multiple platforms. Comfortable in complex data environments and understanding of data structures.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve data issues.
• Being able to quickly provide meaningful insights from data and apply best practices for reporting.
• Be a passionate problem solver - breaking down problems and developing analytical insights.
• Passion for automation.
• Ability to organize and lead meetings with business and operational data owners.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to report consumers.
