Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of our team, your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the seamless operation and efficiency of our dental practices. Key duties and expectations include:

  • Demonstrates exemplary judgment and decision-making across diverse situations. Contributes significantly to the company's growth and success by fostering a positive organizational culture aligned with our core values, mission, and vision.
  • Effectively engages with patients, facilitating discussions on treatment options, and educates them on the importance of maintaining optimal oral health. Ensures a balanced approach to treatment plan acceptance, avoiding undue pressure, and maintaining a patient-centric focus.
  • Skillfully secures financial commitments from patients, accurately handling payments, and adhering to established office policies and procedures. Proficiently addresses objections and navigates barriers to case acceptance, fostering a streamlined and efficient process.
  • Maintains an unwavering focus on the patient experience, particularly with new patients, to ensure a consistently positive encounter. Assumes responsibilities for various administrative tasks, including phone management, patient check-in/out, coordination of insurance benefits, and appointment scheduling.
  • Contributes to new patient growth objectives by collaborating with colleagues in the execution of sales, marketing, and promotional activities. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of insurance plan coverage for various procedures and supports office team members in payment and insurance processes.
  • Readily assists with the smooth flow of patient services, handles dental/medical emergencies when necessary, and proactively addresses issues by recommending effective solutions to the supervisor.
  • Proactively engages in cross-training initiatives to provide support in other job roles as required. Exhibits excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, fostering positive relationships both internally and externally.
  • Takes initiative in scheduling patients for appointments and willingly undertakes any other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to contributing to the overall success of the practice.

Position Requirements:

To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Professional Experience:
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in the dental field.
  • 2-5 years of proven track record in patient/customer service.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Outgoing and engaging personality, fostering positive relationships with both patients and team members.
  • Dental Knowledge:
  • General knowledge of dental treatment options.
  • Familiarity with dental insurance processes.
  • We offer comprehensive training in dental knowledge as part of our Patient Service team, there will be a training period at our West Chester location.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Ability to effectively "sell" dental treatment for positive case acceptance.
  • Financial Acumen:
  • Knowledge of dental financing options is a plus.
  • Flexibility:
  • Willingness to travel to West Chester once a month for departmental trainings.
  • Willingness to participate in company-wide training sessions once a month.
  • Openness to reading and discussing a group-issued book.
  • Training Commitment:
  • Commitment to completing the initial 2 weeks to 90 days of training at our West Chester facility.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Google Drive and spreadsheet applications.
