Transportation Coordinator

Working as a Transportation Coordinator for DonorConnect you will be vital to our mission. You will be responsible for working closely with on-call organ and tissue donation coordinators and providing necessary transportation services. These services include transporting organ personnel, biological samples, and other necessary supplies. You will maintain a valid driver's license, TSA registration, and other licenses/certifications as necessary. Additionally, you will perform necessary fleet maintenance and be responsible for performing all assigned on-call shifts

Minimum Qualifications

Training/Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Chauffeur's license required within 90 days of employment
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of routine driving experience
- Excellent driving record
- Previous courier experience preferred
- Positions with high levels of interpersonal interaction and communication
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Awareness of the fastest routes to hospitals, labs, and airports
- Awareness of types of transportation needs for DonorConnect tissue and organ cases
- Defensive driving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stoop, squat, or bend frequently
- Exposure to patient elements including communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and other common hazards of a clinical setting
- Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, consider alternative and diverse perspectives, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
