Transportation Coordinator

The Transportation coordinator will provide outstanding service, acting as the primary point of contact for transportation department customers. Able to compile data, compute fees and charges, schedule appointments, and work with outside Carriers for dispatching purposes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Typical tasks performed include a combination of the following:

• Timely and accurate data entry.
• Working with outside carriers to coordinate drayage pick up and return.
• Respond to all customer and internal phone calls and emails.
• Exhibit effective customer service skills.
• Check pricing and delivery information.
• Resolve shipping and order entry errors.
• Help resolve minor billing issues by coordinating with billing representatives.
• Communicate to management any issues that would affect the business.
• Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns.
• Various other duties as assigned (Cross training and general knowledge).
• Working in tandem with dispatchers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours
• Must have a solid work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadline, and manage changing priorities

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Customer Service experience along excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently. Fluency in oral and written English. Spanish extremely helpful. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Intermodal Trucking Dispatch.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
