We are looking for a DOT Compliance Specialist to join our team in Avondale, Pennsylvania.
As the DOT Compliance Specialist, you are responsible for fleet and driver compliance throughout our company in a multi-state setting and directly responsible for ensuring state and federal compliance of drivers, equipment, and vehicles.
Essential Duties:
- Lead the daily vehicle inspection (DVI) process on all Company assets to support both regulatory compliance and equipment health & longevity.
- Oversee required vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FLC and FMCSA requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely implementation of the commercial driver and mechanics initial and ongoing required training, and drug and alcohol program; and modify given regulatory changes and best practices.
- Monitor and maintain driver qualification files to ensure compliance with applicable law.
- Monitor driver behavior to ensure safety, a high level of customer service and efficiency, and compliance.
- Develop and implement procedures to support compliance with state and federal requirements regarding commercial vehicles.
- Monitor and maintain all required permits to operate DOT such as but not limited to Motor Carrier Permit, IRP Registrations, IFTA License, MC-150, UCR, US DOT.
- Manage record keeping supporting commercial, non-commercial, and off-road equipment to allow for timely and appropriate preventative maintenance.
- Be a champion of change to support advancement of record keeping methods in today’s digital era.
- Oversee service hours service from record keeping to driver compliance and progressive disciplinary process as needed.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers to ensure drivers and vehicle list are in sync.
- Oversee the FLC and FLCE process as it pertains to drivers.
- Collaborate with HR and Safety regarding driver related training, policies, enforcement, and record keeping.
Skills and Abilities:
· Must have a minimum of five years of experience with day-to-day DOT compliance.
· Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team of office-based team members in multiple locations.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of DOT, FMCSA and state transportation laws, computer skills including Microsoft office, MS Word, and MS Excel.
Education and Experience: Associate degree or higher with five years of experience with emphasis in an agricultural setting or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required for the position.

· Valid Class A or B or C driver’s license with a DMV record acceptable to insurance carrier.

- Bilingual (Spanish) language proficiency is a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
