Translation Project Coordinator (Us Based-Remote)

Translation Project Coordinator 
Avantpage, a translation and localization company based in Davis, CA, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Project Coordinator who can coordinate the logistics around Translation Projects. We are a global company with offices in Davis, CA, Mexico City, and Warsaw, Poland. This job is open to remote US-based candidates, with potential periodic travel to our headquarters in Davis, CA. The working hours for this position will be 8 AM to 5 PM PST regardless of where you are located in the country. **We are unable to hire an international candidate for this role at this time.

With a focus in the healthcare and government arenas, Avantpage works with a wide variety of clients around the United States to achieve its goal of empowering immigrant and LEP communities through access to information in their native languages. Our Project Coordinators are masters at juggling projects, time and people and we’re looking for someone who’s ready for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare files for translation and set-up projects
• Format and proof layout of translation files
• Review files before delivery to the client
• Maintaining spreadsheets for internal and client use, in real time
• Elaborate price and time estimates for Translation Projects
• Write clear and complete project instructions
• Create purchase orders and invoices
• Provide administrative support as needed

Essential Skills & Experience

• Attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat).
• Knowledge of OCR software is a plus
• Ability to follow directions, prioritize and schedule tasks
• Ability to work under pressure with high volume and short timelines
• Being a positive and proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Other foreign language and experience in a multicultural environment is a plus
