What is interesting about this job?
The Training Specialist works in partnership with affiliate departments to develop and conduct health care assistant trainings, new employee orientation, health center orientation and other required trainings. They may test trainees using a variety of assessment tools to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness of training. They are responsible for selecting or developing teaching aids such as training aides, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference books. The Training Specialist will assist with maintaining training reports and ensure that timely and accurate records are kept of all training activities.

What You'll Do

  • Develop training materials; review, evaluate, and modify existing/proposed programs; and recommend appropriate changes.
  • Conduct affiliate-wide non-clinical training (or training of the trainers) and assist with clinical training when needed.
  • Promote and maintain a positive, effective, and fun learning experience.
  • Select or develop teaching aids such as training aides, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference books.
  • Ensure necessary employee learning materials are developed and present at each training.
  • Maintain training reports and ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping of all training activity.
  • Support and provide guidance on initiatives by providing insight, developing communication material, identifying and designing training aids, and/or facilitating trainings or meetings associated with the initiative.
  • Conduct training sessions for new hire training, on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
  • Participate in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve affiliate goals.
Schedule:
Full-Time position working 40 hours/week
Monday - Friday with occasional weekends as needed
Hybrid Work Style

Candidate must be based in the PPSAT service area of NC, SC, VA, or WVA.

Travel:
Some travel is required within the PPSAT service area of NC, SC, VA, and WVA.

Compensation:
PPSAT's compensation philosophy is based on equity and transparency. Each job at PPSAT is assigned a salary grade built on market data. For an individual coming into PPSAT, we set a pay generally between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary grade, and based on candidate qualifications. The minimum starting salary for this position is $53,500.00 with the mid-point being $65,600.00, paid annually.
