- Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
- Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
- Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
- Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
- Proficient in dental prophylaxis
- Strong interpersonal skills to kindly and effectively interface with our team and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate.
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, estimates, and other position-related calculations. Ability to safely medicate, restrain, and handle patients of all sizes and personalities.
- Confident in ability to place IV catheters, blood draws, recover patients from surgery.
