Patient Access Training Specialist

Responsible for the training of new Patient Service Associates, as well as the ongoing training of existing staff on all Epic applications related to Patient Services (including but not limited to lesson plan preparation and edits, class registration, class scheduling, billing and denial prevention and other computer applications, such as insurance-specific websites. Help develop system procedures, training materials and training schedules. Will also perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other issues associated with Epic revenue cycle applications. Collaborates with Patient Accounting Supervisor, team members and site leadership to assist in design, validation and implementation of current workflows and best practices with Epic. Assists with the development of Patient Service training policies and Patient Service training department goals and objectives.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ PREFERENCES

Five years medical insurance billing experience – Preferred

Three years of experience in Patient Service/Registration or Revenue Cycle - Required

Five or more years of experience in Patient Service/Revenue Cycle - Preferred
